Accessibility
SplitMyText is built to work with the accessibility tools already on your device — in the iPhone and iPad app and on this website.
Works with VoiceOver
Every control in the app is labelled for VoiceOver. The text box, split options, presets and each part's copy button read clearly; features that are part of the paid upgrade announce as “Requires Pro”; and when a split completes, the number of parts is announced automatically so you know the result without hunting for it.
Voice Control
Because every control has a clear name, you can drive the app hands-free with Voice Control — say “Tap Split Text”, “Tap Copy Next”, or use the numbered overlay to reach anything on screen.
Larger text
The app respects your system text-size setting, including the larger accessibility sizes. Controls wrap and lists reflow as text grows, so nothing is clipped or cut off.
Dark mode
Full light and dark themes follow your system appearance automatically, and you can pin System, Light or Dark from the app’s About tab. This website follows your system appearance too.
Clear without colour
Nothing relies on colour alone. Copied parts show a tick and the word “Copied” as well as a green border, locked features show a padlock icon, the selected split mode shows a tick, and errors are written out in full.
Contrast and motion
Text colours are chosen to meet contrast guidelines in both themes — and that’s enforced by automated accessibility checks that run with the app’s test suite, covering contrast, touch-target sizes and control labelling. The app keeps on-screen motion to a minimum by design: there are no animated effects beyond standard screen transitions.
This website
The splitter on this site works with keyboard navigation and screen readers: a skip-to-content link, visible focus outlines, labelled form controls, and live regions that announce the part count and any errors as they happen.
